I passed this cake, okay full truth, I passed an even bigger chocolate cake with gorgeous tiny colorful polka dots all over it and just stopped and stared and wondered if it in fact could be as good as it looked. Then gazing around the window I became aware of another beauty and thoughtfully decided it needed to be a birthday cake. So I took it home with me.
Wow. it was delicious. Imagine two giant vanilla macaroons filled with a chocolate ganache and then iced with what one could only describe as pure chocolate bliss. Perfectly edged with thick, dark chocolate curls of chocolate placed all around it. It was a hot mess and totally worth every bite.
